Discover the underworld of the island of Ibiza. Cova de Can Mar√І√† is located in the north of the island in Port de Sant Miquel, 20 km from Eivissa, 25 km from Sant Antoni and 23 from Santa Eularia. The cave is located in a natural environment with incomparable views of the bay, with the Murada and Ferradura islands opposite. The Cova de Can Mar√І√† is one of the main tourist attractions of Ibiza, being undoubtedly the most important on the island. The vagaries of nature have left us amazing formations, lakes and surroundings for their beauty. The visitor will enjoy about 40 minutes of travel in a natural setting with effects of water, light and sound. The smugglers were the first to use the cave to deposit their merchandise. Today you can still distinguish the black and red marks that marked the entry and exit of it. The cave is located open to the public and fully equipped for your visit since the early eighties. One of the main attractions of the cave is the light and sound show that accompanies a waterfall that reproduces what once was natural. Source [ + ]

Ta Som (бЮФбЯТбЮЪбЮґбЮЯбЮґбЮСбЮПбЮґбЮЯбЯДбЮШ, ancestor Som) is a Buddhist temple on the site of Angkor in Cambodia. Located at the eastern end of the north-eastern baray (JayatatƒБka), north of the eastern baray, this modest-sized ensemble was erected by Jayavarman VII in the late twelfth century. Built in the style of Bayon, it includes two enclosures surrounding the temple itself: The outer wall, a simple laterite wall, has only two east and west gopura surmounted by four-faced towers. North and South are two fake doors simply decorated. This wall delimits a rectangular space of approximately 200 m by 240 m, in which only two basins remain, on both sides of the east alley. The inner enclosure, preceded by a moat and accessed by two cruciform terraces adorned with nƒБgas, is a laterite gallery and sandstone. The temple itself has a 20m by 30m enclosure surrounding the central sanctuary tower, a prismatic cruciform plan with false floors, and two small "libraries" in the East. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ta_Som [ + ]

Cambodia: Jayatataka Baray bridge, krong siem reap, cambodia

The Jayatataka was the baray, a kind of large artificial lake, of King Jayavarman VII, the greatest of the monarchs of the Khmer Empire. The Neak Pean in the center of the Jayatataka was a place of healing for pilgrims in the times of the Angkor Civilization. The purpose of the barays is a matter of debate. Some argue that the barays were mainly used for agriculture and that they played a vital role in the growth of the empire and their subsequent drying up causing the Khmer empire to weaken. Others argue that the barays role in agriculture was not that significant with Cambodia's abundant rains and the waters of the giant Tonle Sap lake nearby. They argue that the barays were more spiritual as representations of the seas around the mythological Mount Meru, abode of the Gods of Hindu myth. Source [ + ]

Krol Ko (the oxen park) is a Buddhist temple on the site of Angkor in Cambodia. Of modest size, it was erected by Jayavarman VII around 1200 near the northern slope of Baray East, facing the East Mebon. Built in the style of the Bayon there are only a few parts of its outer enclosure and remains in poor condition of the sanctuary, its enclosure, the moats and basins and some ancillary buildings. Its decoration is scarce Source [ + ]

Angkor Wat or Angkor Wat бЮФбЯТбЮЪбЮґбЮЯбЮґбЮСбЮҐбЮДбЯТбЮВбЮЪбЮЬбЮПбЯТбЮП ("Prasat Angkor Wat") is the largest temples of the monumental complex of Angkor in Cambodia. It was built by Suryavarman II in the early twelfth century as a "state temple" and capital. The best preserved temple in Angkor, one of the largest medieval cities in the world, it is the only one to have remained an important religious center since its founding, originally Hindu and dedicated to Vishnu, then, Buddhist. The temple is the archetype of the classical style of Khmer architecture. He has become the symbol of Cambodia and is on his national flag. It is the main tourist place of the country. Angkor Wat combines two bases of Khmer architecture for temples: the temple-mountain side and the temple temple side. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, the home of the gods in Hindu mythology. Inside a moat and an outer wall 3.6 km long are three rectangular galleries, each built inside the other. In the center of the temple stand towers in staggered rows. Unlike most Angkor temples, Angkor Wat is oriented to the west, probably because it is oriented towards Vishnu. The temple is admired for the grandeur and harmony of its architecture and the many bas-reliefs adorning its walls. Its beauty and size are such that many consider it the eighth wonder of the world. It also gives clues about the important hydraulic system of Angkor. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Source [ + ]
